quantico boys's Story

These four “Quantico” boys survived one of the most devastating neglect cases on record — over 100 Appaloosas and Quarter Horses left to starve on a vast property in Hebron, Maryland. Unhandled and unhalter-broke stallions, they wandered the land sick and skeletal, surrounded by the remains of other horses.

They were taken in because their lives depended on it. Today, they live freely at Thornbury Farm. Now gelded and safe, they roam, run, and play together — experiencing peace and stability for the first time. Watching them stand by the house waiting for food is a quiet reminder of how far they’ve come.

Once starved, neglected, and forgotten, these horses now live with dignity and security. Their rescue stands as a testament to what is possible when suffering is met with compassion — and ensures that their future will always include freedom, safety, and full bellies. This is just one chapter of their story.
